Sports Sponserships

It was indeed awesome to witness the victory of Indian players on a foreign ground at Rio. The first bronze medal by Sakshi Malik and P. V. Sindhu’s Silver medal came as a real treat for many Indians who were following this tournament with a great zeal. We cannot forget the fantastic performance by Dipa Karmakar too, who missed by a point and ranked 4th in gymnastics this year at Rio. At least, now many of us cannot name this form of sport activity as circus as quoted by the athlete too in one of her earlier media interviews. Every Indian got high when they saw tears of joy rolling from the eyes of Sakshi Malik who jumped out of joy and held the proud Indian flag on her coach’s shoulders. Surely, it’s not a cake walk to make it Rio and perform this way and make your mark for many years to come. Amidst, all this doesn’t this victory bound us to think that it’s now time to widen our horizon and think beyond the traditional approach grooming our kids when it comes to studies and sports. The presence of Indian Sports Contingent at Rio was the result of their dedication and hard work of many years. We must be thankful to such parents who motivated their kids of following their wish and exploring the world through their strength and sports and out of the classrooms. It’s our job to put their desires on fire, but before that we should look into some major points.

Positive Encouragement

A proper introduction of many sports activities is important to find out what is best for them. Every child is different in ability and capability and one need not to be impatient when we are in the learning stage. Must be sure about the dedication, time, support and finance you can invest in sports.

Beyond the school boundary:

Inspiration:

Share with them the stories of champions and what they have to go through to achieve the stature. You need to be realistic in setting goals for your kids and the ways to measure the progress. Of course it’s not a cakewalk neither a rocket science too.

Tracking The Champions:

China has been creating Olympics champions over the years. The country is doing everything to nurture its young talents towards sports and the budget allocation towards sports activities is way higher than a country like India. Still, where there is a will, there is a way. There are lots of private bodies apart from government organizations who are giving aid to young talents to achieve their dreams. Our Indian players have come faraway to prove their flairs in international arena. Though, there is a lot to be done especially when it comes to motivate people around us on their choice of sports rather than choosing a popular sport which is minting money like anything. Every tough task has a hurdle to be met and winners are those who keep their head high towards their goals. We should not hold back our children from reaching greater heights when it comes to sports. India can only its metal around the globe once, we start trusting the choices made by our kids.
